Once you login to the Interdax platform, you can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) via Google Authenticator by clicking on the profile menu on the upper right-hand side of the interface.
Choose the ‘Security’ page from the drop-down menu.
You will find the option for Google Authenticator near the bottom of the ‘Security’ section. Click on ‘Activate’.
The next step is to download the Google Authenticator app from the Apple store or Google Play store on your Android device or iPhone.
Once you have clicked on “Activate“, the Interdax page will display a QR code.
Go into the Google Authenticator app and click on the button on the bottom right-hand corner with the plus sign and select 'scan a barcode'.
An ‘account token key’ will be displayed, along with a QR code and prompt to enter a 2FA code. Take note of the account token key as if you lose access to your phone or device, you will need the key to recover your 2FA capability.
Scan the QR code displayed on the Interdax page (as shown above). A code will be displayed by the Google Authenticator app. Enter the code into the box under ‘2FA code’ to activate two-factor authentication.
Once enabled, you will then be prompted to enter the six-digit 2FA code every time you enter your login information. The Google Authenticator app will display the six-digit code on your phone and changes periodically every 25 seconds.
If you encounter a “binding failed” issue, please ensure that the time and date on your phone matches with the time and date on your computer. You can also check that the time is set to automatic on your Android or iOS phone.
To disable the Google Authenticator for 2FA, log in and go to your account settings and then the ‘Security’ tab.
Enter your six-digit 2FA code from the Google Authenticator app on your phone, and click on ‘Disable 2FA’.
